How we look after your information
Plainly put: we collect what we need to host you, keep it safe, and delete it when we no longer need it.

Who we are
The Lofts at Niagara Cannery is operated by Niagara Cannery Lofts Inc., 15 Packinghouse Lane, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described here and handle it in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for guests from the European Union and the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR where they apply.
What we collect

We do not ask for information we do not need, and we never sell or rent it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 12 months. Booking and invoice records are kept for seven years, as Canadian tax law requires. Notes about preferences are kept for three years after your last stay unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Website server logs are kept for 90 days.
Your rights
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, receive a copy, or have it deleted where we are not legally obliged to keep it. You may withdraw consent to marketing at any time — we only send a newsletter if you ticked the box asking for one. Write to us and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to your local data protection authority.
Security
Card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored on our own systems. Staff access to guest records is limited to those who need it, and all our systems use encrypted connections.
